The project was for the revitalisation of a public park in Dumfries. The works – carried out under NEC 3 Short Contract conditions – included upgrading of roads, footways and car park, replacement of play area and mini-golf area, restoration of 100+ year old bandstand and bowling pavilion, and construction of a river’s edge viewpoint.

• Re-use of sandstone from demolished toilet block to create park entrance wall
• Working in close proximity to the public – requirement for footpaths to remain open during the works
• Close liaison with local businesses and residents – rebuilding of boundary wall adjacent to residential properties
